Platform Policy requirement
1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using RideCarpooling.com (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, Service Agreement, and all other policies referenced herein. If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must not use the Platform.
2 Eligibility
To use RideCarpooling.com, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- As a driver: hold a valid driver's licence, maintain adequate vehicle insurance, and ensure your vehicle meets all legal safety requirements
3 User Conduct
All users of the Platform agree to:
- Treat all members of the community with respect and courtesy
- Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or threatening behaviour
- Not post false, misleading, or fraudulent ride listings
- Not use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Not attempt to bypass or circumvent Platform fees or payment systems
- Not share or solicit contact information for off-platform transactions
Violation of these conduct rules may result in immediate account suspension or permanent termination, at our sole discretion, without refund of any fees paid.
4 Driver Responsibilities
Drivers using the Platform agree to:
- Post only rides you genuinely intend to complete
- Arrive on time at the agreed pickup location
- Operate your vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws
- Not operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance
- Maintain valid registration, insurance, and licence documentation
- Notify passengers of any delays or cancellations as early as possible
- Honour the fare agreed upon at the time of booking
5 Passenger Responsibilities
Passengers using the Platform agree to:
- Arrive at the agreed pickup location on time
- Respect the driver's vehicle and other passengers
- Not bring prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, hazardous materials)
- Pay the agreed fare through the Platform's payment system
- Notify the driver of any cancellations as early as possible
6 Payments & Refunds
All payments on RideCarpooling.com are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor. Key payment terms:
- Passengers pay the displayed fare plus any applicable service fees at the time of booking
- Full refunds are available for cancellations made 24+ hours before the scheduled departure time
- Partial refunds may apply for cancellations made within 24 hours of departure
- Drivers receive earnings after the ride is completed, subject to Platform service fees
- Disputes regarding payments or refunds must be raised within 7 days of the scheduled ride date

7 Limitation of Liability
RideCarpooling.com operates as a marketplace platform connecting drivers and passengers. We are not a transportation carrier and do not provide transportation services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for disputes, accidents, injuries, losses, or damages arising from rides arranged through the Platform
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of ride listings, driver profiles, or passenger information
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount of fees paid by the claimant in the 12 months preceding the claim

8 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion for:
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions or any Platform policy
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows
- Safety complaints from other users
- Extended account inactivity (12+ months)
Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. You may request account deletion at any time through our Data Deletion process.
9 Intellectual Property
All content on RideCarpooling.com, including the logo, trademarks, branding, website design, text, graphics, and software, is the exclusive property of RideCarpooling.com and is protected by Canadian, US, and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
10 Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.
11 Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
